The photos below are of a book display I created for the students entitled, "Hot Dystopian Summer Nights".
After having taken Materials for Young Adults, LIBS 6137, in the fall of 2012, I was excited to have an opportunity to discuss the YA titles and authors with the high school students on their own terms. I very much enjoyed assisting the students find their reading materials after finding out a bit more about the types of books they've enjoyed reading in the past and also recommending new titles in a different genre for them to try. This part of the job is definitely a highlight.
Informal book display featuring fiction and non-fiction titles about dogs. This casual display needed to be restocked once a day at a minimum.
